Personality Orion is not at all to be trifled with. He is easygoing to a point, however, and believes in fair chances until you cross his moral code. To those in his good graces, he would do anything. He's a bit like a dark Robin Hood and comes off as a bit of a showoff, and very much flaunts his gifts. The movements he makes are graceful, elegant even, and he has been compared to a cat many times. There's only a bit of sadism in his heart: if he deems you truly worthy of death (or cruel and unusual punishment), he will deliver the attack with a smile regardless of the effects on himself. It's the contracts that call for innocent blood to be spilled that he will not accept. He has a tendency to be conceited and is sometimes blinded by his own opinions (read: stubborn as heck). But if someone makes a good enough argument, he considers their side and often changes his point of view for the better.
Background The son of a viscount, Orion has lived his life in luxury. His parents paid him little mind, though they kept him sheltered and overprotected. When he was older he had a desire to follow his father’s footsteps--but every time he asked to go along on a “business trip” his father declined. (He doesn’t know that his father just didn’t want to bother with his kid, but he does have a suspicion. It’s not something he’s ever openly admitted.) So he was kept on the property like a snake in a birdcage; the only chances he got to see other scenery were parties and balls, which were blessedly frequent. Over time he picked up stories from his “friends” of their adventures, and he began to see that his life was so much more boring than he thought. During his late teens he started acting out, doing strange things to shake up everyone’s perceptions a bit. In his 20s he began to hate all the frills and to-do of nobility, so he formulated a plan to essentially run away. He’d been practicing swordsmanship (under the guise of falconry) since he was 10, and his one desire was to stave off his boredom by hiring out his skills. He eventually achieved this goal, after much hardship, and his alias “Rigel” is spread around by anyone looking for someone else to do their dirty work.
